Paul Kawata

Paul has been a member of the Stonewall family since 2011, first joining as a kickball neophyte before evolving into a kickball umpire, co-captain and captain. He moved to Atlanta in 2021 and joined the Atlanta league for the Spring 2022 kickball season. His second season brought an opportunity to captain a free agent team, Centennial Conference’s Pitch Please, which led to his current role as captain of a new free agent team each season. He enjoys creating a safe space where players new to kickball or new to Atlanta (often both) can create new friendships or exceed their own expectations on the field.

Paul is married to his loving husband, Toku, and when he’s not on the kickball field, he’s probably at home in Grant Park surrounded by great friends and their two dogs, KiKi and Bella. A music-loving foodie at heart, his favorite pastime is trying new restaurants. Some nights you might catch him performing at an open mic night at a comedy club. He’s very excited to serve as the Centennial Conference Lead.
