Shelley Northrup

Shelley (she/they) is originally from Florida where she attended grad school at University of Florida in mental health counseling. She currently works in the mental health field and specializes in LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. She has been a part of Stonewall Atlanta since 2022 playing tennis and kickball. She previously has captained for Queen’s Racquets (@queendom_athletix) and @pitchplease22 .

She is passionate about systemic and social justice issues and has been involved in several local organizations. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading too many books at one and engaging in other creative activities. She is obsessed with her very fluffy cats, Athena and Apollo, who are a mother and son pair.

She is excited for Tennis season to begin and support players in finding and building community!
